How to Apply Blue Eyeliner.

Choose the right shade of blue:

There are many different shades of blue eyeliner available, ranging from light pastel blues to deep navy blues. Choose a shade that complements your eye color and skin tone.

Prep your eyes:

Create a smooth base for your eyeliner by repping your lids with an eye primer or concealer before applying pencil liner. This will also help your eyeliner stay in place for longer.

Apply A Neutral Base.

Start with a neutral shade of eyeshadow to the crease of your eye (think cannon or seed). We went without a brush and just used our ring to blend, but if that's not your jam you can use a small eyeshadow brush instead.

Apply eyeliner:

Apply eyeliner to the upper lid.

Use a steady hand to apply blue eyeliner along your upper lash line, starting at the inner corner of your eye and working outwards.

Apply eyeliner on the lower lid.

Keeping the tip of the eyeliner pencil close to the lash line, draw a thin line from the outer corner of the eye to the inner corner of the eye. A straight line should only extend two-thirds of your lower lids to make your eyes look bigger — completely lining your lower lids will make your eyes look smaller.

 Create a winged eyeliner.

To draw a winged liner or cat eye, draw a line at an upward angle from the outer corner of your eye, using your lower lash line as a guide. Fill the line heavier to create a triangle shape, creating a cat eye.

 Seal your eyeliner.

If you create a longer-wearing eyeliner, apply eyeshadow using an eyeliner brush or eyeshadow brush that's the same color as your eyeliner.

Smudge the eyeliner.

If you want a softer look, use a smudge tool or a small brush to smudge the eyeliner lightly. This will create a more blended effect.

Complete your eye makeup.

If desired, complete your eye makeup by adding mascara and eye shadow. Read more...
